Everything in Pairing is about one thing: a week that holds together.

Here's what Pairing does today, screen by screen, and what it doesn't do yet. Every screen uses a made-up agency called Sagebrush Behavioral Services.

01 · The week

The whole week on one screen, with the gaps in red.

Every child and every session for the week, with who's working each one. An uncovered session doesn't hide in a cell somewhere. It stands out, and you can cover it from right there.

Day, week or month

Switch views on the web; see the day or the week on iPhone.

Repeating sessions

Set a session once as weekly, and change one day or every day after it.

Time off shows up

Approved time off appears on the schedule, so you see it before it becomes a gap.

Print it

Print the schedule by staff member, by child, or everyone.

02 · Covering a session

Pick who covers from a short list, not a phone tree.

Open an uncovered session and Pairing suggests staff to cover it, with the hours each person already has that week. The first time a technician works with a child, it asks you to confirm they've been trained on that child's plan.

Suggested staff

A short list to start from, or pick anyone yourself.

Hours in view

See how a session changes someone's week before you assign it.

First-pairing check

A training check before a tech's first session with a child.

One change, everyone's view

The new assignment shows on the week, the tech's day and the family's view.

03 · Time off

Time off that can't leave a child without a session.

Requests land in one queue. If approving one would leave a session uncovered, Pairing says which sessions and holds the Approve button until they're covered.

One queue

Every request, with how much notice it gave against your agency's policy.

Your policy, your numbers

Set your own notice windows and who approves.

Requests from the phone

Staff ask for time off from the iPhone app or the web.

Decline with a note

Say why, so nobody has to guess.

04 · Supervision

See where every technician's supervision stands.

Supervisors and directors see who's done for the month, who's on track and who's coming due, so a deadline doesn't arrive as a surprise.

Due soon, first

The people closest to a deadline are the ones you see first.

By team

Supervisors see their own team; directors see everyone.

05 · Messages

The team thread lives next to the schedule, not in a group text.

Team boards, direct messages and group threads, with read receipts so you know who has seen a change. On the web and on iPhone.

Read by 3 of 4

Know who has seen it without asking.

Needs a reply

Mark a post as needing acknowledgment and see who has.

Client details stay inside

Notifications say something needs you; the details appear after you sign in.

Web and iPhone

The same threads on a desk or in a car between sessions.

06 · Families

Parents see their own child's week, and can reach you.

If your agency turns it on, a parent sees their child's sessions with each therapist's first name, can message the agency, and can report a concern. They see nothing about any other child.

07 · Technicians

A tech's day, their hours, and their messages.

Technicians open the app and see today's sessions and their hours against their target for the week. Time off and messages are one tap away.

08 · Your agency

Set up for how your agency works, with each person seeing what their job needs.

Your logo and colour

Pairing takes on your agency's look.

Roles, not one login

Directors, program managers, supervisors, HR, technicians and parents each see their part.

Invite only

Nobody gets in unless your agency invites them.

When someone leaves

Deactivate them and their access ends, while their history stays.

Treatment plan dates

An expired plan stops new sessions from being booked against it.

Kept separate

Each agency's information is walled off from every other agency's.

Not yet

What Pairing doesn't do.

We'd rather you hear it here than on a call. Some of these are on our list to weigh; some we may never build.

  • Billing, claims, EVV or payroll. Keep using the tools you have for those.
  • Finding cover automatically when someone calls out. Today you pick from suggested staff.
  • Text messages or phone notifications when the schedule changes. Notifications are inside the app for now.
  • Calendar sync with Google or Outlook.
  • An Android app. Pairing works in the browser on Android phones.
  • An App Store listing. Our iPhone app is still in testing.
